Although it is difficult to find a better destination than Porto (at least in Europe), each country and city has something special to explore. Below we have summarized the best (in our opinion) direct flights from Porto. We hope you enjoy them, but don’t forget to come back to Porto 🙂
- Reykjavík, Iceland – an Icelandic low-cost airline fly play opened a new route between Porto and Reykjavík giving you the opportunity to get in a few hours to the country of ice and fire. Iceland is a truly breathtaking country that has a lot to offer, especially beautiful unspoiled nature. Reykjavík, being the Iceland’s only city, is also worth the visit.

- Prague, Czech Republic – our number two goes to the capital of the Czech Republic, Prague. Thanks to the direct flight by easyJet, you have a unique chance to visit this lovely central European city. If you like Porto, than you will definitely like Prague, too as they have some similarities (e.g. always when I stand on Wenceslas Square in Prague, it reminds me of Avenida dos Aliados). Instead of Luís I Bridge, in Prague you will walk on the Charles Bridge. Just a small spoiler – in Prague the beer is cheaper than the water 🙂

- Riga, Latvia – Riga is a very interesting post-Soviet city considered as Paris of the North. At the same time, it is also a cultural center and a home to many museums and concert halls. The city is also known for its wooden buildings, art nouveau architecture and medieval Old Town. Thanks to airBaltic, you have now the opportunity to visit Riga directly from Porto.

- São Paulo, Brazil – now we move outside of Europe to the Portugal’s former colony – Brazil. São Paulo is one of the world’s most populous cities and with its rich architectural tradition has definitely a lot to offer. TAP Air Portugal will transport you to São Paulo directly from Porto 🙂

- New York City, New York, USA – and from the South America we will move to the North – New York. There are already several airlines operating the direct flight from Porto, e.g. TAP Air Portugal, or United Airlines. Visit the famous Manhattan, a densely populated borough that’s among the world’s major commercial, financial and cultural centers. New York’s iconic sites include skyscrapers such as the Empire State Building and sprawling Central Park.

- Toronto, Canada – after visiting busy US, relax in another North American state – Canada! There are several airlines flying directly between Porto and Toronto, but we have chosen a low-cost Air transat. Enjoy this peaceful and beautiful country.

- Sal, Cape Verde – a low-cost airline easyjet recently pleased all its fans living in Porto opening a direct flight between Porto and a beautiful African tropical Cape Verdean island Sal. As Cape Verde is also a former Portuguese colony, you can practice your Portuguese skills, too!
